Desiree Cook

Founder and Executive Director

Desiree Cook is Founder and CEO of I Am You 360 incepted in 2014. Desiree is the mother of 7 children and married since 2002 and a licensed natural hair stylist since 2011.

Desiree’s lived experiences includes low self esteem, survivor of domestic violence, drug addiction, incarceration, and her own children being raised by her mother and placed in foster care.

Desiree desired to speak her truth, become accountable and reach back to pay it forward and put the spotlight on the customized and personalized needs of the most vulnerable population (foster care, homeless youth, and families. She believes they deserve to be treated with dignity so they can feel dignified. Her advocacy leads to being a voice for the voiceless and to be treated as a whole person.

Desiree’s concept first began with children should not look like their circumstances, and decided to do something about it. By providing customized, personalized, new full size hygiene according to age, gender, and ethnicity, and with her hygiene dispensary to refill each hygiene bag every 6 weeks, followed by a copyrighted 10 week Self Empowerment Curriculum, and developed the Small Home Experience (10 tiny homes). She believes in and involved with self development, life skill development, and homeownership programs to break the generational cycles and create generational change. Her burning desire was to remove the barcode stigma that hover over the most vulnerable population and remove the band aid so they can heal, restore, and see themselves as somebody. She wholeheartedly believes a healthy view of self is connected to healthy decision making, and how you treat yourself and how you treat others.

Desiree has revolutionized her community with unique, and holistic programs and services. Her vision is to empower the whole person inside and out. Our goal is to sew the most vulnerable population back into the fabric of our community.

She has lead the community to become accountable by way of creating awareness and educate about the crisis in Arizona primarily about foster care and homeless youth need us the most. (7,000 homeless youth and over 3,000 children in foster care)

Her award winning ideas has lead to a movement called “I Am Somebody”

She remains passionate and dedicated to planting seeds of hope, so together we can watch our youth grow and become fruitful.

My name is Nikieia Johnson and I am a community advocate, and champion for the voiceless. My experience with Boys & Girls Clubs has been a perfect fit for the work I Am You 360 does and I immediately found myself wanting to become part of an organization where folks aren’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and get the job done, because I know from personal experience the impact positive mentoring can have on the life of a young person. I  have nearly 20  years of experience in working with youth, their families, and community. I am one of 14 children and attended Purdue University where I earned my B.A. in Human Development & Family Studies with a specialization in Early Childhood Development.
I became apart of I Am You 360™ because I have a passion for making an impact and difference in the lives of young people, our homeless and foster youth are often overlooked and miscounted and one of the many things I love about I Am You 360™ is that it becomes the voice for these young people whose voices are often unheard. Along with truly empowering all young people to have self-esteem, self-worth, and self-confidence to enable them to become academically successful. This organization fits perfectly into the work that I do daily and I am excited to be a part of such an amazing organization.
