i am you 360
Founder and Executive Director
Desiree Cook is the Founder and Executive Director of I Am You 360 and a licensed cosmetologist at Divinity Beauty Bar. She is married to Terry Cook since August 9th 2002 and is the mother of 7 children.
Desiree’s past was filled with lack of self love and poor self esteem which lead to poor decision making. This pattern took her down a destructive path of drug addiction, multiple incarcerations, 4 of her children being placed in foster care and 2 of her children being raised by her mother. Upon her release from Arizona’s Department of Correction, Desiree was determined to transform her old way of thinking, develop self awareness and rebuild her confidence. Her self empowerment journey since then has been successful. She raised and rebuilt a sold, healthy relationship with her children.
Her experiences taught her that her family situation wasn’t an isolated case. She began to self educate and wanted to share her gifts. She wanted to help others see their own self worth and develop skills that will lead to self motivation.
Desiree is passionate and dedicated to her community. Her heart strings are pulled when it comes to the children and teens in crisis such as homelessness and foster care. She has a strong desire to put a spotlight on the importance of building self esteem, providing personalized services to assist in restoring self love, self motivation, improve school attendance, academic achievement, improve personal appearance, and overall well being. Desiree has identified a driving force in boosting self esteem by way of introducing the importance of a healthy personal care routine. She revolutionized the concept of personalized hygiene bags donated according to ethnicity to promote healthy hair and skin. Desiree Cook is continually innovative and has a direct impact on the youth within her community.

My name is Nikieia Johnson and I am the Clubhouse Director here at the Club. I myself attended the Boys & Girls Club and know from personal experience the positive impact the Club can make on our youth. To tell you a little bit more about me I am originally from Chicago, IL and am married almost 8 years now and met my husband my senior year of high school. We don’t have any children yet, and I enjoy traveling, mini-golf, hanging with friends, and great humor. I have over 15 years of experience in working with youth, their families, and community. I am one of 14 children and attended Purdue University where I earned by B.A. in Human Development & Family Studies with a specialization in Early Childhood Development. I became involved apart of I Am You 360 because I have a passion for making an impact and difference in the lives of young people, our homeless and foster youth are often overlooked and miscounted and one of the many things I love about I Am You 360 is that it becomes the voice for these young people whose voices are often unheard. Along with truly empowering all young people to have self-esteem, self-worth, and self-confidence to enable them to become academically successful. This organization fits perfectly into the work that I do daily and I am excited to be a part of such an amazing organization.
